weekly photo challenge: unfocused
Friday, May 4: This week’s photo challenge is Unfocused. You may curse or cheer this week’s theme. We’re looking for that picture which is unfocused. It may be completely intentional, or accidental. You might have thought about trashing it, but in the end it definitely conveys something.
I don’t even have to hesitate on this one. I have resisted so many times throwing this picture out. The thing that makes me keep it is that it was one of my favorite places in Egypt and, unfocused though it is, it’s the only picture of this place I have. It’s the Grand Cafe on the Nile and it’s in Ma’adi, a suburb of Cairo. It’s next door to the marina where you can take a felucca on the Nile. We always finished with the felucca right after sunset, and I could never get a focused picture in the waning light.
great photoshot 😛

Thank you Gilly Gee. Despite its blurriness, there’s something about the picture that brings back many happy memories and a certain mood… 🙂
